| News MLB planning to play at Field of Dreams on August 12, 2021 NEW YORK (AP) — The Chicago White Sox will host the New York Yankees in the rescheduled Field of Dreams game at Dyersville, Iowa, on Aug. 12. MLB says the plan is tentative, contingent on the status of public health next summer. The teams had been scheduled to play at the ballpark next to the “Field of Dreams” movie site last Aug. 13. When the schedule was revamped because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Yankees were replaced as the opponent by the St. Louis Cardinals, but the game was called off on Aug. 4. The rescheduled game will be MLB’s first in Iowa. | Sports Tim Nieman Hired as First Coach for Cascade Boys Soccer Tim Nieman has been hired as the first coach for the boys soccer team at Cascade, which will play its inaugural season this coming spring. Nieman was assistant boys coach at Western Dubuque from 2012-2015, and girls assistant in the 2016-2017 seasons. Cascade previously had a soccer sharing agreement with Western Dubuque High School. The Cougars plan to begin their own girls soccer team in 2022. | ||||||
